In this workshop held on 21 April 2016, Dr. KIM Shin Cheul, Senior Vice President of Exploit Technologies Pte Ltd (ETPL), Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore, began his workshop from giving an introduction on the basics of technology commercialization, the role of TTO, and how to identify commercialization opportunities (using technology push & market pull). He shared the successful elements in electronics commercialization and the funding sources. He then talked about Singapore’s R&D framework and Innovation and Enterprise landscape, IP management, A*STAR’s strategies, GAP Funding projects from ETPL with some case studies in drug discovery and 3D film.

This workshop was well received by colleagues from HKU and other institutions and they exchanged their views and shared their experiences.
