The Technology and Transfer Office showcased innovations and technologies developed at HKU in the Hong Kong Pavilion of the 2017 China High-Tech Fair (CHTF) from 16-21 November 2017 at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Centre. Highlights include: 1. SuperSteel, a new generation of steel with outstanding tensile properties and yield strength developed by Prof. Huang Mingxin of the Department of Mechanical Engineering; and 2. New generation luminescent gold-based emitter for organic light emitting devices (OLEDs) developed by Prof. Vivian Yam, Philip Wong Wilson Wong Professor in Chemistry and Energy, Department of Chemistry. According to the organizer of CHTF, the exhibition has attracted more than 500,000 visitors from 97 countries around the world.
