Public Lecture : Open Innovation and Public-Private Partnerships

In this public lecture, Professor Raj Thampuran, Managing Director, Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), Singapore shared his experience in Open Innovation and different modalities of Public-Private Partnerships that A*STAR engages in. He discussed the role and importance of R&D and innovation; and how Singapore transforms from a labor intensive to a knowledge and innovation based economy. He then shared the A*STAR’s role in Singapore’s innovation system, as the primary mission-oriented government agency tasked with advancing innovation-based growth. Over 120 participants attended the public lecture.
